Gateshead Sunderland and Whitley Bay are all 20-25 minutes drive away and you can reach the historic cathedral city of Durham in less than half an hour. br / br / br / br / For Football Fans we are located in the middle between St James Park and The Stadium of Light. Approximately 6 to 7 miles from either venue. Both these venues are used for other entertainment purposes now including concerts.

Metro Station - Underground: South Shields Metro Station is literally a 10 minute walk to us. It is located central in the town centre. To get to us walk straight through the town centre heading for the market place once at the market cross over the road as though going to the ferry landing but walk left towards roundabout where you will see a sign for Mill Dam. You will see the Riverside Public house on the corner walk down pass that we are located in the 2nd left turn parallel with Customs House Theatre. br/ br/ Newcastle Central Station - Train: To get to us from Newcastle Central Station you can either travel via taxi or use the Metro service. To get to the South Shields Metro station you will need to get a metro to Heworth and change metro for the remainder of the service to South Shields Station br/ br/ Newcastle Internation Airport - Air: To get to us from the Newcastle International Airport you can either travel via a taxi or use the Metro Service the station entrance is located with the terminal building. To get to South Shields station you will need to get a Metro to Pelaw and change to another Metro for the remainder of your journey to South Shields Metro Station. br/ br/ North Shields Ferry Link - Boat: North Shields Ferry link is literally opposite us across the river. There is a Ferry for foot passengers or cyclists from South Shields to North Shields operated by Nexus this takes approximately 10 minutes. However if you are driving you will need to use the Tyne Tunnel to gain access to the other side of the river. This is clearly signposted once you get to South Shields on the A194. br/ br/ London - Road: To get to us from London via car you drive approximately 270 mile on the A1/A1M right till you reach a place called Washington. You will then see a split on the motorway saying A1 Newcastle and A194 South Shields/Tyne Tunnel. Follow A194 all the way through to South Shields and head for the Riverside.
