Located in the Village of Calverton in the heart of rural Nottinghamshire and bordering the historic Sherwood Forest. This 17th Century former farm house offers free Wi-Fi free parking 2 AA Rosette awarded dining and is conveniently located between Nottingham and Mansfield. Each of the 11 en-suite bedrooms is individually designed and appointed with warm colours bespoke furniture and sumptuous soft furnishings. Eight rooms are located in the main house and three are in the adjacent courtyard which has been converted from the old forge and barns. Awarded two AA Rosettes the Cockliffe House Restaurant serves English and French inspired cuisine with a distinctive modern twist. The kitchen team utilise the best seasonal and locally sourced produce to create imaginative mouth-watering dishes that are perfectly balanced and immaculately presented. Cockliffe Country House welcomes guests with pets when visiting us at an additional charge of £15.00 per pet per night. Guests with pets are asked to stay in our ground floor Forge and Farriers rooms only. We respectfully ask that pets are not brought into the main hotel building or restaurant/bar areas in consideration of other guests and diners. Guests with pets are welcome to dine on our outside seating weather permitting. We ask that guests do not allow their pets on to the furniture or beds while in the bedrooms. Also please can owners ensure that any fouling is cleared up after their pets. Cockliffe House is conveniently nestled between the A60 & A614 a short distance from Nottingham City Centre and the M1. Just a 2 minute drive away is the BMI The Park Hospital and Nottinghamshire Police headquarters.

Take the M1 to J27head towards Nottingham A611 then turn left onto the B6011 (Linby/Papplewick).At the end turn right at the junction with the A60.turn 1st left at traffic lights onto Burntstump Hill continue to the top where there is a semi concealed turning right(for the school)on the brow of the hill. continue for approx 1/2 mile down the private lane.
