The Kellbank is the new name for the The Horse and Groom Inn Gosforth Seascale. Nestled in the quaint Cumbrian village of Gosforth just 10 minutes drive from Seascale and the Blue Flag Beaches of the Cumbrian Coast this family run former coaching inn offers free Wi-Fi free parking a delightful restaurant and stunning views of Wast Water and Scafell Pike. The Kellbank was once a historic coaching and still retains many period features including the mounting block at the front entrance exposed stone fire places and open log fires. The charming exterior with cobbled pavement harks back to a bygone age and blends seamlessly with the modern extension to the rear of the building which houses the bedrooms and restaurant. All 20 beautifully appointed en-suite rooms are located in a quiet area towards the rear of the hotel and provide a range of modern amenities including free Wi-Fi tea and coffee making facilities with freshly ground coffee and TVs with Freesat. The rooms on the ground floor offer views over the hotel gardens and provide easier access whereas the first floor rooms afford views over the Wasdale Valley and one in particular you can see England s highest peak the majestic Scafell Pike.

Directions From the South Take M6 to Junction 36. At roundabout take first exit onto A590 and follow A590 over following 2 roundabouts. Turn right onto A5092 keep straight onto A595. At Gosforth sign turn right into Gosforth. At roundabout turn right and follow road to next turning on right (Eskdale Road). Follow Eskdale road and turning for The Kellbank Car Park is on right immediately after left hand bend. Directions From the North Take M6 to Junction 40. Take A66 towards Keswick. Continue on A66 to A5086. Follow A5086 to A595. Follow A595 to sign for Gosforth bear left and follow road to mini roundabout. Turn left at roundabout and follow road through Gosforth to next turning on right (Eskdale Road). Follow Eskdale road and turning for The Kellbank Car Park is on right immediately after left hand bend.
