This original 18-century mill owner s mansion has achieved a Grade II listing and been elegantly restored throughout merging many original features with modern luxuries. br / br / br / br / The property stands in its own private grounds surrounded by dense woodland around an impressive private lake. Guests can enjoy quality local produce for breakfast whilst overlooking the grounds or relax in fine surroundings in their elegant bedrooms or our comfortable period lounge. br / br / br / br / The house has been described by one of our guests as a lovely place which puts its arms around you and gives you a hug . It took lots of hard work to create the elegant and relaxing ambience of the place sourcing original colours materials and talented craftsmen to decorate the individual rooms. All the renovations are true to the history of the House (take a special look at the old Housekeeper s room and the walk-in wardrobes.) The cantilever staircase frequently gets a wow when guests arrive and the Georgian formality has been called the Downton feel by guests.
