Lisle Combe is a 200 year old grade 2 listed property with unique architecture and style. It is steeped in literacy and world wide history which will be recognised by many. We are a family run business and welcome all visitors who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. We hope that all our guests from walkers to historians will love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Lisle Combe. br / br / We have two bed and breakfast rooms which can be used in a number of combinations from single occupancy to doubles or twin beds with added beds for families too. Please call us on 01983852582 if you have any queries. All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities TV with DVD hair dryer and separate wash basin. We have wonderful Neal s Yard Remedy toiletries in the private bathrooms with soft towels for our guests to use. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with additional seating for those times when you want to just sit and look out the window at the sea or garden view. Breakfast is a friendly affair with lots of local produce and choice on offer just order the night before or that morning if you don t mind the wait! It can be communal on our large refectory table or if you prefer privacy on a table for two in the Drawing room or if warm outside on the veranda just for fun! br / br / We are located in the warm sub tropical climate of St Lawrence on the south side of the island only a short walking distance from both the tranquil Steephill Cove and renowned Ventnor Botanic Gardens. Ventnor is a 5 minute drive away within walking distance with many good eating and antique stops. It has a vibrant cultural feel with the Arts Club and Fringe festival. Lisle Combe is an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Wight with Osbourne House and Carisbrooke Castle only 30 minutes drive and fabulous beaches all around. We have local knowledge from many years on the island and depending on your interests we can point you in the direction of dinosaurs or dungeons!.

Directions to Lisle Combe Ventnor

East Cowes - Road: Follow the signs for Newport and continue through the main town of the Isle of Wight. Once at Newport head south to Ventnor via Rookley and Godshilll. Once in Godshill turn right (the road bends hard left) and head towards Whitwell. Continue through Whitwell about 1.5 miles until you can turn right down a small country lane to St Lawrence. Drive down the steep hill across a railway bridge turn left then left again at the bottom of the hill. Lisle Combe is on the right in about 800m. br/ br/ Yarmouth - Road: Head right out of the ferry terminal toward Totland and Freshwater. Follow signs to Freshwater and then follow the A3055 along dinosaur coastline towards Brook Brightstone and then Chale. Continue to Niton where you need to go straight ahead to Whitwell where you turn right to Ventnor in about 1.5 miles turn right down a small country lane to St Lawrence. Drive down the steep hill across a railway bridge turn left then left again at the bottom of the hill. Lisle Combe is 800m on your right. br/ br/ Fishbourne - Road: Follow the A3055 around the island via Ryde Brading Sandown and Shanklin to Ventnor. Drive through Ventnor and follow signs to Ventnor Botanic Gardens go past and drive another 0.5 mile Lisle Combe is on the right hand side after a bend and Inglewood Drive (on left).
