Alma and Brian would like to invite you to spend some time at their contemporary home that has been lovingly refurbished as a luxury bed and breakfast. The Cricketers has a long history of hospitality and was built in 1880 on the edge of Windsor Royal Forest. Initially the property had five bedrooms and was a 19th century coaching inn selling Burton beers from Ind Coope. It also incorporated a butchery and in 1888 supplied meat to Osborne House Queen Victoria s residence on the Isle of Wight. In the 20th century the property was divided into private residential and a butchers shop. In 1988 Brian purchased the property and the former Butchers shop became the Hop Inn one of the finest independent off-licences in Britain stocking a large range of local real ales wines spirits and home brewing supplies. br / br / br / br / Enjoy a great night s sleep in one of our three individually designed and decorated en-suite bedrooms. We are just one mile from junction 11 of the M4 and offer free parking. Bus stops are less than a minute away and around the corner behind the Farriers pub there is a recreation ground that was home to the local cricketers.

Directions to The Cricketers Reading

London - Road: At junction 11 of the M4 take the first exit signposted Basingstoke A33. After another 200 yards take the slip road left to Swallowfield/ Spencers Wood/ Three Mile Cross. You will soon pass The Swan pub on the left and a BP petrol station on the right. Continue for another half a mile and at the top of the hill on the left you will find a large white building incorporating The Cricketers B&B and Hop Inn off-licence. Immediately after the property is a large church and village hall. br/ br/ Swindon - Road: At junction 11 of the M4 follow the signs all the way around the large roundabout to exit signposted Basingstoke A33. After 200 yards take the slip road left to SpencersWood. You will soon pass The Swan pub on the left and a BP petrol station on the right. Continue for another half a mile and at the top of the hill on the left you will find a large white building incorporating The Cricketers B&B and Hop Inn off-licence. Immediately after the property is a large church and village hall.
