Rothwell known locally as Rowell was granted a charted by King John in AS1240 permitting a weekly market and an annual fair which takes place the week following Trinity Sunday. br / br / Holy Trinity Church located 3 minutes walk away has one of only two known bone crypts in the country it contains the remains of around 1500 people. br / br / br / br / Not far from Rothwell is Rushton Triangular Lodge built to reflect the Trinity. Well worth a visit. br / br / br / br / Nearby places of interest include Bugtopia where you can get up close and personal with a variety of bugs and reptiles and West Lodge Rural Centre which is home to large animals. Both have been awarded Certificates of Excellence. br / br / The largest town to Rothwell is Kettering home to Wicksteed Park a great day out for all the family. br / br / br / br / Other places to visit include Boughton House owned by the 10th Duke of Buccleuch. A beautiful French architecture country house with wonderful manicured gardens.
