Spacious Dorset period cottage in a row of old dairy cottages once owned by Thomas Hardy s father with 4 bedrooms sleeping 6. The beautiful coastline at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door Weymouth & the National Sailing Academy (site of the sailing events for the 2012 Olympics) are all nearby. Cob Cottage has 2 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms for 6 people. One of the single rooms has a single bed that pulls out in addition.There is also a pull-out double sofa bed in the living room downstairs which we will prepare for you. Please note that we charge an additional £20 per night per person if there are more than 6 guests. There is a hot tub in the garden that can be enjoyed for the week at an additional £70 per week £30 for weekends and £50 for a 4 night stay. Large garden.The fully fitted kitchen is ideal for preparing family meals and there is a dining table and living room. This is rural Dorset and we have a wonderful village pub.The next village a mile away has a general shop and post office a petrol station and garage and even a tennis court to rent. The nearest beach with a cafe is 5 miles away and Dorchester (4 miles away) is the county town with supermarkets shopping cinemas and a number of restaurants. Weymouth (7 miles away) is a large tourist resort with beaches and water sports available There is a Wood burning stove. Large garden. Well behaved pets are welcome at an extra charge of £10 per day for a deep clean. Non-smoking but exception made if you are smoking in the garden and dispose of stubs. M27 - Road: Driving: M27 West which becomes the A31. Follow the A35 from Bere Regis and take the A352 road at the Dorchester ring road signposted to Wareham. West Knighton is signposted at Broadmayne on the Dorchester to Wareham road. The closest railway station is Dorchester South which runs from London Waterloo. Dorchester is approx. 4 miles from West Knighton and there are taxis as well as hourly buses from the town.
