The Bridge on Wool is a friendly community pub based in the heart of Wadebridge close to desirable locations such as Rock & Padstow. br / br / br / br / Our pub is affectionately known as The Bridge On and was formerly a coaching inn titled The Cornish Arms . Renamed in the 1950 s folklore suggests that The Bridge on Wool was chosen because of an old bridge into the town which was built on top of bales of wool due to the shifting sands of the tidal river. The probable reality is that the sheep farming community footed the bill as they were responsible for the prosperity of the town in its early days. br / br / br / br / Upon crossing our threshold you will immediately feel at home. Make your first stop the well-stocked bar where we re sure you ll find something to wet your whistle. We have a wide selection of beers wines and spirits for you to choose from and all are assembled on our horseshoe shaped bar.
