Kingsmere Guest House is located off of Ocean Road which means you have ready access to the shops restaurants and bars of South Shields. The guest house has a comfortable tranquillity being set back away from the main road yet a five minute stroll in one direction will have you on the gorgeous beaches and access to Bents Park where there are many free concerts exhibitions etc held throughout the year. All but one of our rooms are en-suite the remaining room has access to its own private bathroom. There are colour TV s with Freeview tea & coffee making facilities bottled water & complimentary toiletries in each room. They founded a settlement called Caer Urfa ( The Town on the Rock ) from which our Terrace takes its name. br / br / The Romans arrived in South Shields in AD80 and built a fort to supply Hadrian s Wall. You can visit the wonderfully renovated fort around the corner from the Guest House. br / br / If you would like to sail across the Tyne from South Shields the ferry landing stage is a short walk away from the guest house. br / br / br / br / South Shields Colleges br / br / br / br / For guests visiting South Shields for training purposes the South Tyneside Nautical College the Sea Survival Centre and The North East Tiling Training Centre are all within walking distance from the guest house in South Shields

From South (Durham) - Road: BY ROAD - (Sat Nav NE33 2ES) Head north on A1(M) towards Newcastle/Gatesheadafter approx 11 miles keep right onto A194(M) sign posted South Shields Continue on A194 towards South Shields. Follow signs for town centre until you reach Crossgate roundabout taking third exit towards the town hall.At traffic lights turn left and then keep right along Beach Road for 3/4 mile then turn left onto Seaview Terrace continue down the road crossing over into Lawe Road - Urfa Terrace is 3rd on the left.
