The Mount is a charming Georgian guest-house which we have refurbished substantially during the 18 years we have lived here. After a period of closure we are re-opening following major renovations involving new windows and luxurious new bathrooms with Matki shower fittings. Our largest bathroom has a free standing bath tub as well as a large walk in shower. The beds are king size and benefit from expensive bedding. br / br / br / br / Guests can also enjoy their own lounge which like the dining room is traditionally furnished with some antique pieces. br / br / A complimentary afternoon tea is offered on arrival. Guests have access to a private patio within the garden. br / br / There is ample space for car parking on site and The Mount is only a five minute walk to the town centre. br / br / br / br / Bideford is a small town and working port on the River Torridge just three miles from a wonderful stretch of sandy beach at Westward Ho ! a resort which has benefited from a recent face-lift. Westward Ho ! is the home of Royal North Devon Golf Club the oldest course in England where we are happy to organise tee times. br / br / Bideford sits astride the South West Coast Path and offers access to the Tarka Trail a long distance track and cycleway which follows the route of an old railway line alongside the river. br / br / br / br / The Mount is well placed for visits to quaint fishing villages at Appledore and Clovelly as well as further afield for day trips to Exmoor and Dartmoor.

Directions to The Mount Bideford

From A39 - Road: From A39 exit to Bideford descend hill and turn right in 300 yards just after Rydon Garage. Carry on for 400 yards and turn right at mini roundabout into Northdown Road. The Mount is the first house on the left hand side.
