Houseboat Harbourside View is set in the peaceful surroundings of Bembridge Harbour a site of special scientific interest with National trust and RSPB land surrounding the Harbour. Bembridge village is a short walk away where you can find many interesting unique shops and restaurants seafood being a speciality of the area.It is a short drive from the island s main towns with Sandown and Shanklin around 15 minutes away and Newport just under 25 minutes. br / br / Owners Diane and Tony finished building the boat in 2013.It is unique as it offers spacious accommodation within a 3 storey build. The Houseboat is built off a naval stores barge and is 70ft in length by 20ft width. The boat is some 120 tons in weight and is secured in place by spud legs so any movement is minimal. There is no engine so the boat is permanently moored on site. The Harbour is tidal and surrounds the boat twice daily during high tide the boat floats. br / br / br / br / All rooms at Houseboat Harbourside View have en-suite facilities and are decorated to a high standard. All have flat screen TV s with tea and coffee making facilities. The Diana superior king room has its own balcony overlooking the harbour and includes a mini-fridge sofa super king bed and Jacuzzi bath and shower. br / br / br / br / The Eve which has a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden has a king size double bed and a side view window with views of the harbour. br / br / The Don a double room has its own balcony overlooking the garden with comfortable seating. br / br / br / br / Breakfast is full English with a choice of fruit cereals breads and pastries. Special diets can be catered for if advised in advance. All produce is locally sourced where possible and is of high quality. br / br / Toiletries are eco friendly and locally made soap is also provided. br / br / br / br / You can be assured you will get a warm welcome aboard and enjoy a unique stay at Harbourside View. An ideal place to spend special birthday shoneymoon or book the whole 3 rooms out to spend time together with family/ friends

East Cowes car ferry - Road: From the car ferry take direction towards Whippingham roundabout. Take right hand turning follow signs to Ryde. From Ryde follow road towards Westridge cross roadspassing Tesco on your right hand side. Continue on the Sandown Rd turning into Carpenters Rd at the traffic lights. At St Helen s roundabout turn right .Follow signs to Bembridge via Station Rd. Turn onto Embankment rd and follow road to the Harbour. Houseboat Harbourside View can be found on the right.
