Directions to Strand Cottage Bed and Breakfast Hexham

Newcastle Upon Tyne - Road: Take tke A69 heading west passing Hexham and Haydon Bridge. 4 Miles further along when a warning sign for smoke (the local pottery established in the 19th century) comes into view start to slow down and indicate right. We are just past the trees on the right hand side of the road. There is a large sign outside. br/ br/ Newcastle Upon Tyne - Bus: Catch the 685 Arriva or Stagecoach bus from Eldon Square bus station. On request it will drop you outside of our property. Alternatively get off in the village of Bardon Mill and then walk along the road to the East to it s end. Turn right and follow the road (A69) along to the next house on the opposite side of the road. br/ br/ Carlisle - Road: Take the A69 east for approximately 22 miles. You will pass a BP garage and Little Chef opposite each other. We are on your left one and a quater miles furhter along. br/ br/ Carlisle - Bus: From the main bus station catch the 685 Arriva or Stagecoach bus to Bardon Mill. You can get off in the village or stay on until the bus is back on the A69 and ask the driver to drop you at the next house on the left. br/ br/ hadrians wall - Road: when walking the Hadrian s Wall trail the leaving it at Housesteads take the footpath down into the car park. Cross the road and head south west until you locate a footpath to Bardon Mill. Keep heading south until you come to the A69. Head west again and we are 1/2 mile along on the right hand side of the road.
