The Duke of Tavistock is in a Grade II listed Victorian House built between the 1820s and 1840s by the 7th Duke of Bedford Francis Russell. br / br / All along Plymouth Road the Duke built the Georgian and early Victorian villas for the gentry professional classes and wealthy citizens of his time and was regarded as the Champs-Elysees of Tavistock. br / br / br / br / Having recently been sympathetically renovated and modernised the house still contains period features including sash and stain glass windows fire places original cornice and oak flooring.
