Having recently purchased Soughton Hall Hotel the new owners have made vast improvements to both the impressive décor and the service. Set amidst the beautiful Welsh countryside but within easy reach of the A55 & M56 this historic hotel in Northop offers a warm welcome along with a Downton Abbey style experience. Built in 1714 Soughton Hall has been home to a bishop a Lord Chief Justice and has been the home to a succession of heirs in the Wynne-Bankes family line. Impressively re-modelled by the esteemed architect of the Houses of Parliament and Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) Sir Charles Barry in early 1800s it is now a privately owned boutique hotel with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Exquisitely furnished and decorated this luxurious country house features the highest standards of interior design. The hotel is located in Northorp which can be reached on the A5119. From Northop Country Golf Club carry on down to the end of the road and turn left. Carry on down to the traffic lights and turn left. Follow the road for 1 mile and take the first turning left down the lane as the road bears round to the right stay left. The hotel is on the left hand side.
