ROUTE from LONDON to RYE Shortest Route by Mileage. (Pretty Route) Directions from Central London (Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross) Take Embankment to Blackwall Tunnel through Blackwall Tunnel take signposts to M20. M20 to M25 take M25 to junction 5. Join A21 (Hastings Road) following A21 to Flimwell (A few miles after the village of Lamberhurst). In Flimwell turn left at traffic lights onto A268 signpost to Hawkhurst and then Rye. Follow signposts on 268 direct to the town of Rye. On entering Rye follow Town Centre signs past Rye Station on left Budgens Superstore on right. After about another of a mile still following Town Centre Signs you will pass through The Landgate an old Stone Arch built in 1326 (Ancient Monument) then after about 100 yards you will find Rye Lodge Hotel on your right a prominent red brick building with green and white striped window blinds and a prominent flag pole with Union Flag flying. Quickest Route mainly motorway. Take M 25 to Junction 5 then M 26 (signed MAIDSTONE) to M 20 M 20 to Junction 10 Leave motorway at Junction 10 and take A 2070 Signed to LYDD and BRENZETT - follow A 2070 for some miles to Brookland roundabout (Total Petrol Station) junction with A 259 take A 259 signed to RYE and HASTINGS
