Plymouth Barbican Plymouth

Description of Plymouth Barbican Plymouth

The Barbican is the marina area of Plymouth. It has a very cosmopolitan atmosphere with cobbled streets and restaurants and bars with open air seating areas with canopies. Here you can sip a coctail or enjoy all sorts of food whilst watching the world go by. All sorts of sailing boats are moored here from small motor boats to large glamorous yachts. This is also the home of The National Marine Aquarium and The Mayflower Steps where the Pilgims Fathers sailed to the New World. You can go on fishing trips or boat trips from the jetty or catch a water taxi to Mount Edgecome Home and Gardens or Mountbatten Sailing Centre. Also to the Jennycliff Bay and coastal path.
