Express Events is a registered Irish charity, CHY 19189, founded to advance education in the arts by organising and hosting local cultural events in the community with an emphasis on poetry and music from all sectors of the community. This year we're hosting: Kids Express, 2 July 2010, Bantry Boys' Club, Bantry. Doors Open 6:30 pm This is a free admission event for all ages focusing on children's poetry.  We'll have performances by and for kids, a face painter, games, and refreshments.   Poets Express, 3 July 2010, Bayview Inn, Kilcrohane. Activities begin 4:00 pm This is a free admission event for adults focusing on performance poetry. Guests from around Ireland and the UK will be performing on our main and acoustic stages, and we'll have experimental video and film from around the world in our visual room. Our events bring artists in to perform locally in West Cork, give local artists an opportunity to show off their talents, include activities geared for all ages, help to promote tourism in the area, and are completely free to the public.
