Prices at Heath Lodge Bed and Breakfast Drakewalls from £30 pppn A beautiful Grade ll listed Bed and Breakfast in a stunning location of the Tamar valley which is an area of outstanding natural beautiful. We are ideally located for beaches on both the North and South coasts. As well as being close to Dartmoor and Bodmin moors with its many beautiful places to visit which can be reached by car, train, bus or cycle Heath Lodge is a Grade II listed building set in one and half acres of private grounds overlooking the Tamar Valley in Cornwall, which is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is understood that part of Heath Lodge dates back to the early 1800s and would have been part of the original Edgecumbe Estate. The first tenant was a Miss E Pearce (a lady of independent means) who tenanted the house along with 10 acres. During the late 1800s the Lodge was enlarged to coincide with mining activity in the area. Heath Lodge has been sympathetically modernised and refurbished to a high standard with two beautiful bedrooms on a B&B basis. There are two spacious rooms available, one double with a hand basin and one king-sized room. Both bedrooms have been sympathetically decorated to keep the theme of the entire house, which is traditional in style. The rooms sleep a maximum of four adults in total, although an additional single bed can be added to the double room for a child. The rooms overlook different aspects of the private grounds. Both rooms share a large luxurious bathroom with roll top bath and double deluge shower. There is a separate toilet. Rooms are available from 3pm and are ideally to be vacated by 11am. A separate lounge/dining room is available with tea and coffee facilities at all times. This room has Sky TV and a DVD player. Rates are £30pppn with discounts for three or more nights. Full English or continental breakfast is included, and is sourced from local produce where possible. We do make a small charge of £10.00 per night for single occupancy of a double room. Although we do not normally cater for evening meals we are able to offer light snacks and cream teas. Unfortunately we have no card facilities. Heath Lodge is a no smoking B&B.
