Explore and discover this stunning area then relax and unwind in our charming cottage in the heart of the village.

Delightful self catering cottage in beautiful conservation village. Two double bedrooms, open fire, well-equipped, comfortable accommodation. Available for weekly, long weekend, short breaks or even nightly lets. Pub with good food and coffee shop with excellent cakes and interesting gifts within a very short stroll. Ideal for a romantic break but also equipped with stair gates, travel cot and high chair for those with little ones. Well behaved pets welcome too. Lots to do without the need for a car, walks, fishing and cycling on the doorstep. We are right next the Dark Sky Park which mean it's great for star gazing too. Star charts and binoculars are provided. A little further afield are horse riding establishments, some great golf courses, an Observatory open to the public, ospreys to view at Loch Doon, castles to visit and a great coastline to enjoy.

Breakfast: If you are just staying a night or two we can supply high quality breakfast ingredients for you to prepare your own breakfast when, and how you like it. If you prefer a full cooked breakfast can be prepared for you.

Rooms: We have two double bedrooms; one on the ground floor and one upstairs. The upstairs one has a seating area adjacent to it where a chair bed is available if required. Both have long mirrors, hair dryers, towels and bed linen.

Parking: Free parking is available on the street in front of the cottage or in a private space at the rear.

Wifi: Free WIFI is available throughout the cottage and on the south facing patio.

Pets: We accept well behaved pets and have a dog bed and bowls.

Families: Babies and children are very welcome. We have a stair gate, high chair, travel cot (and linen), baby bath, childproof fireguard and a selection of toys. The village has a play park with a large grassy area where children can play football or just run around. Many of the walks starting from the village are suitable for young children. Older children might enjoy swimming in the river, tackling some of the more challenging walks or trying a spot of fishing.

Disabled Facilities: There are two steps at the front door into the cottage, back door has a very shallow step. One bedroom is on the ground floor and we have a large shower. Not ideal for a wheelchair user but perfectly possible (we have a disabled relative who uses it) as the bathroom door is rather narrow. It would be suitable for those with limited mobility.
