Otley Hall
Otley Hall Ipswich is Grade 1 listed and privately owned by Dr Ian and Mrs Catherine Beaumont. It has been named one of the top twenty historic houses in Great Britain. As well as having a wealth of medieval architectural features, Otley Hall Ipswich is rich in history and in particular is linked to the founding of America and to Shakespeare. The house is set in 10 acres of gardens in which there are medieval re-creations designed by Sylvia Landsberg (author of The Medieval Garden), including a knot and herb garden. We welcome organised groups, small parties or individuals for tour of the Hall by appointment throughout the year. Our gardens are open to the public on Wednesday afternoons from May-September. From 16th June this year, why not visit the gardens and enjoy a cup of tea or fresh coffee, home-made cakes or a light lunch in our cafe? Open from 12 noon to 5pm on Wednesdays from 16th June - September. We are also open to the public 3 times a year: Sunday 2nd May Sunday 30th May Sunday 29th August For more information, please contact us or visit our website www.otleyhall.co.uk
