Prices at Stanley House Hotel Blackburn from £95.00 At the end of a long, steep, meandering drive, the award winning Stanley House nestles amongst the outstanding natural landscape which is the making of the county of the Red Rose. This is a hotel that doesn’t fall in to the trap of taking itself too seriously - designer furnishings may abound but they’re quirky, cool and full of personality – just like the place itself! Originally the manor house of Mellor, this grade II* listed building was virtually derelict when the present owners purchased the property. It has now been sympathetically restored to its’ former glory and houses the twelve individually designed bedrooms and a cosy reception area, featuring a magnificent inglenook fireplace, complete with wood burning stove. All bedrooms have luxury en suite facilities, including under floor heating, and the décor is anything but ordinary. You can choose from an oriental theme complete with rich red soft furnishings and laquered furniture, to a traditional four poster suite or a decadent contemporary theme featuring silver and gold. All rooms have satellite tv, internet connection and hospitality tray. Room service is also available. Dining at Stanley House is provided by the fine dining restaurant- Cassis ( closed on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening) or the vibrant Mr Fred’s Brasserie open throughout the week. You won’t find a hint of aloofness in the service, just good old-fashioned Lancashire hospitality that is thoughtful and good natured in its approach, and where nothing is too much trouble.
