The Bear Guest House is a small, comfortable, family run establishment with affordable rates.

The property is Georgian, centrally located opposite the railway, and just 1 minute away from Margate main beach.We have six guest rooms in total. Four of our guest rooms have stunning unobstructed sea views. All rooms have hand basins and showers, but are not full en-suites. Separate toilets are located nearby on each landing. Please note that rooms are offered on a room only basis i.e. we are unable to offer breakfast. There are however plenty of places to eat nearby.Families, children and small infants warmly welcome. Travel cots are available at no charge. Cyclists are warmly welcome, but we don't have anywhere except the basement area to store bikes.Our property, including all of our rooms are fully non-smoking. Reduced rates are available to contractors and holiday makers for long-term stays.Check-in is anytime from 1.30pm and check-out is 11am.Prices quoted on a per room per night (room only) basis.

Breakfast: We let rooms on a room only basis i.e. we do not offer breakfast.

Rooms: All rooms have complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, mineral water, fridge, TV including many free sat channels. A DVD player is available upon request. An iron and ironing board also available on request. All rooms have their own hand basin and private shower. Four rooms have wonderful sea views of Margate beach. Rooms are comfortable, well appointed and very clean.

Parking: Free car parking is available outside the property and in nearby streets. There is also a large train station car park 1 minute away which is chargeable approx. £3 per day.

Wifi: Free unlimited WiFi available throughout most of the property (not available on the 3rd floor.

Families: The Bear is family friendly and we warmly welcome families with babies, small infants and older children. A travel cot is available if required at no charge.

Disabled Facilities: Due to our property being Georgian and grade 2 listed, we have 5 floors and the considerable number of stairs will prove difficult for someone with mobility issues.
