The Cromwell Museum houses the only collection dedicated to the life of Oliver Cromwell

The Museum is housed in the old grammar school, in Huntingdon, the town where Cromwell was born, and is the only Museum collection relating directly to Cromwell. The collection includes portraits and objects associated with Cromwell. The Museum is family friendly. Open from April to October - Tues-Sun - 10.30-12.30 & 1.30-4.00 Open from Jan to March & Nov to Dec - Tues-Fri & Sun - 1.30-4.00 Sat - 10.30-12.30 & 1.30-4.00 There is a temporary exhibition running to the end of 2016 celebrating the 450th Anniversary of Huntingdon Grammar School which began in the building; Among its early pupils were both Oliver Cromwell and Samuel Pepys. The Museum needs Volunteers from 1st April 2016 - please contact us now for further information!

Parking: Pay and display car parks are located in the town centre near the museum

Disabled Facilities: The Museum is on one level, and has a gentle slope into the building which is fully wheelchair accessible; we have large print guides for our display labels.
