The Shalimar is a beautiful Indian restaurant in the centre of Derby, walking distance from the derby train station and the derby city centre. The Shalimar has been serving the people of Derby and its visitors for over 25 years! Over the years many Indian restaurants have come and gone, but the Shalimar Derby Indian restaurant has gone from strength to strength, gaining a huge reputation for its high quality Indian cuisine and outstanding customer service, it is a testament to our ethos and passion “Customers come as diners, but always leave as friends.” Our friendly and professional staff takes the time to know customers without being overbearing and intrusive. The Shalimar Derby Indian Restaurant is the cornerstone of many well regarded restaurants throughout the UK. Five Star Rating For Food Hygiene The Shalimar Indian Restaurant was the first Indian restaurant in Derby to be presented with a five star rating for food hygiene by Derby City Council’s Food Hygiene Star Rating Scheme and is still in a minority of restaurants who have such an accolade. All of our cuisine is prepared freshly on the premises and cooked to order by our highly talented kitchen staff and head chef.
